The B&O No.482344 was built by the Thrall Manufacturing Company in Dubois, Pennsylvania in 1967 as C&O/B&O class B-74. The steel boxcar had a single-sheathed Youngstown plug door and a Keystone Shock Control under frame. The No.482344 was primarily used for revenue service and was later used by the B&O for storage. Under the Chessie System, it was reclassified as a class B-74 boxcar. The No.482344 was acquired by the B&O Railroad Museum in February of 1995.
