The BOMX No. 9733 was originally built for the Milwaukee Road as No. 2331. It was renumbered as the No. 706 in 1959. In 1980, the No. 706 was purchased by the Central Wisconsin Railroad, where it operated as the No. 1200 until 1985 when it was purchased by Miller Compressing. In 1995, the locomotive was acquired by the National Railroad Museum in Green Bay, Wisconsin and was later part of an exchange with the Baltimore & Ohio Railroad Museum.
