All Aboard for Train Rides!
Take a round trip ride along the first commercial mile of railroad track, recognized as the birthplace of American railroading. With paid admission, Observation Car tickets are $10 adults, $6 children (ages 2 – 12), $4 B&O Members and Coach Class train ride tickets are $3 adults, $2 children (ages 2 – 12) and free for B&O Members.

Train rides are offered: Thursday & Friday at 11:30 AM | Saturday at 11:30 AM & 1 PM | Sunday at 1 PM

The Model Train Sale returns! We're offering special family-friendly fun for B&O Members on Sunday, November 8! B&O Members are invited to enjoy FREE outdoor kids' rides from 11 AM-1 PM, free coffee in the café, and a train ride on the Mile One Express at 1 PM. Plus, be sure not to miss a special 2 PM tour of the B&O No. 908 "John T. Collinson" executive office car with curator Jonathan Goldman!

Turntable Demonstration - Saturday, November 14
12 Noon
Don't miss out on the unique opportunity to the see the marvelous engineering of our Roundhouse turntable in action, as a locomotive or rail car is rotated on the turntable by the power of just one person! Turntable demonstration included with admission, FREE for B&O Members.
Museum Closed - Monday & Tuesday, November 16 & 17
On November 16 & 17, the Museum will be closed for set-up of Holiday Festival of Trains.
 Holiday Festival of Trains - Tree Lighting Ceremony & Evening Train Ride
Friday, November 20
6 PM-8 PM
The B&O kicks off the holiday season with an evening packed with family-friendly festivities! Join us as we light the beautiful 35-foot Christmas tree, tour through Santa’s Winter Village shops and model train layouts, enjoy a visit from Santa and Frosty the Snowman, and share cookies with spiced cider or spiked cider for the grown-ups.The train ride includes child-size light-up reindeer antlers to wear on the Reindeer Railway to help light the way for Santa! The train departs at 7 PM. Net proceeds benefit the B&O Railroad Museum. Get your tickets here!

The holiday season is officially here when Santa comes to town, and we hope you’ll join us in greeting him when he arrives back in Baltimore! Santa will be celebrating the season with you at the B&O Holiday Festival of Trains. Plus, Frosty the Snowman will be joining Santa and his elves. Holiday Festival of Trains -Breakfast with Santa

Saturday & Sunday, Nov. 28-29

Santa will join you and your family during breakfast and be available for socially distant photo sessions. Families will ride the Reindeer Railway train and children will be given reindeer antlers for the trip. Join us and Santa for a delicious breakfast buffet inside the spacious Roundhouse transformed into a festive wonderland featuring the B&O’s signature 35-foot Christmas tree, model train layouts, and Santa’s winter village. Bmore Local Holiday Bazaar

Sunday, Nov. 29

Shop small and local under the evening’s holiday lights at the B&O! Support local artisans and artists while enjoying live holiday operatic performances by local conservatory students inside the spacious and beautifully decorated B&O Roundhouse. Guests are invited to join in a grand finale sing-along of “Let There Be Peace on Earth” led by one of the talented conservatory students. Wine, beer, non-alcoholic beverages and snacks from Back Yard Restaurant available for purchase.  Get your tickets here!
