Enjoy the museum's annual holiday celebration of toy trains and model railroading. Bring the family to see Ellicott City Station's Holiday Festival of Trains featuring a miniature Thomas the Tank Engine G-scale model layout and LEGO train display custom built by the Washington, D.C. Metropolitan Area LEGO Train Club.

Civil War 150th Anniversary
The War Came By Train

Ellicott City Station, America’s oldest railroad station, hosts a satellite exhibit of The War Came by Train that presents living history demonstrations and exhibits highlighting the effect of the railroad during the Civil War on small town life, residents and troops that came through.
 
Maryland Zoo Members receive FREE admission to the B&O's Ellicott City Station!
January & February
11 a.m. – 4 p.m.
During the months of January and February 2015, the B&O is granting the Maryland Zoo of Baltimore members free entrance into the B&O Railroad Museum Ellicott City Station with the presentation of their valid Zoo membership card and photo identification. Card holders with family memberships are allowed entrance for 2 adults and 2 children.
