Reception & Sale - Saturday, June 25 - CANCELLED
Artists are invited to join the B&O Railroad Museum in June for our first Railroad Art Month celebration, exhibition, and sale. Artists and photographers are invited to register and visit the historic Baltimore campus and create railroad inspired works of art. Entered selections will be displayed and offered for sale with a portion of the proceeds to benefit of the museum. Registered artists may visit the museum June 1 - June 19 from 10am-3pm to work on their creations. The reception and sale is Saturday, June 25 between the hours of 5pm – 7pm. Painting, drawing or photograph remains on exhibit in the Harry Eck Education Center through July 30. Artist is required to pay a non-refundable one-time registration fee of $25. Education Connection: Circus Train
Tuesday - Friday in June
10:00 a.m. – 12 Noon
Children enjoy Education Connection at Choo Choo Blue Kids Zone in the B&O Roundhouse. This month's program allows children to take a ride on the "circus train" and learn the power of language through fun crafts and interactive games in this wonder-filled series. Recommended for ages 2 and up.
Thrifty Tuesday at the B&O

Visitors receive half off regular admission rates the first Tuesday of every month at the B&O Railroad Museum! All aboard for the most important American railroad collection in the world!
Wednesday, June 1 & 15
Toddler Time is normally held at 10:30 a.m. on the first and third Wednesday of each month January - October. When the museum hosts Disney Jr. Choo Choo Soul, Day Out With Thomas, and Chuggington only Toddler Time may be scheduled. This program allows children listen to a classic railroad story, create a craft, enjoy playtime at Choo Choo Blue Kids Zone, and take a kiddie train ride through Choo Choo Blueville – all included with paid admission. Recommended for ages 2-5. Please note that ride is not guaranteed with your visit and that the Museum reserves the right to cancel or change train rides in the event of inclement weather or equipment malfunction. Children programs start promptly on-time.
Under the Big Top
Monday, June 20 - Friday, June 24
10:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.
Join us under the big top for a topsy-turvy, wildly wacky, fun-filled time. Jump through "flaming" hoops or walk the "high wire" in the center ring. Try your luck at the ring toss. Show off your creative side at the craft station. There's fun for all under the big top! Choo Choo Blue Kids Club Members receive a special treat. Railroad Art Month Reception & Sale
B&O Museum, Harry C. Eck Education Center

Join the artists who participated in the B&O Railroad Museum's first ever Railroad Art Month for a reception and sale of their artwork. Enjoy light refreshments and see the works of art celebrating railroading at the B&O. The artwork will be available for purchase with part of the proceeds going to the museum and the rest to the artist. Free admission and free parking. All Aboard Summer Reading Program, “I’ve Been Readin’ on the Railroad”
June 20 - August 22
A magical experience that takes children on a trip and teaches them new things about people and places! Children who participate in “I've Been Readin' on the Railroad” Summer Reading Program at the B & O Railroad Museum and Ellicott City Station earn a free book and a chance to win an engineer's outfit. It's easy and the trip down the tracks are fun and educational. Let the magic of reading and the railroad take you and your child on a special journey. Pick up a reading journal at the B & O Railroad Museum or the Ellicott City Station, browse the children's railroad books and begin your journey! Read 10 railroad-related books, complete your journal, and return it to either Museum by August 22, 2016 for your free book and a chance to win an engineer's outfit!
Blue Star Museums

Blue Star Museums is a collaboration among the National Endowment for the Arts, Blue Star Families, the Department of Defense, and more than 1,500 museums across America. The B&O Railroad Museum in Baltimore, Ellicott City Station, Mount Clare Museum House are proud to partner with Blue Star Museums and offer active military personnel and up to five family members free admission to the museum from Tuesday, May 31 through Sunday, September 4, 2016 except from July 12 - 17 for the event CHUGGINGTON. The Geneva Convention common access card (CAC) a DD Form 1173 ID card, or a DD Form 1173-1 ID card are required to receive free admittance.
