Grand Re-opening
Thursday, June 25

The B&O Railroad Museum will reopen to the public on Thursday, June 25. Stay tuned for more details.

 

All Aboard for Train Rides!
Take a round trip ride along the first commercial mile of railroad track, recognized as the birthplace of American railroading. With paid admission, First Class train ride tickets are $10 adults, $6 children (ages 2 – 12), $4 B&O Members and Coach Class train ride tickets are $3 adults, $2 children (ages 2 – 12) and free for B&O Members.

Train rides are offered: Thursday & Friday at 11:30 AM | Saturday at 11:30 AM & 1 PM | Sunday at 1 PM
 
Junior Junction special - Virtual Story Time
Every Tuesday & Thursday Through June 18, 2020

Each Tuesday and Thursday while schools are closed, we’ll be posting a Junior Junction special, which includes a virtual story time, accompanied by a corresponding educational activity that can be easily downloaded to use at home. To stay up to date on the latest and revisit all of our previous Virtual Story Times, click here.

The B&O Railroad Museum reopens to the public, and you're in for a very sweet ride! For a limited time, as part of our grand re-opening, we're giving you the chance to ride inside Sweet Toot for FREE. Rides are given on a first come, first served basis. To help ensure safe social distancing, rides are limited to 2 visitors at a time, and we ask that children who wish to ride are accompanied by an adult. We're also offering train rides on the Mile One Express (50% capacity), hosting a Railroad Story Time, and will have our outdoor rides available!
 
Sweet Toot Cab Rides: 10 AM - 11 AM
Mile One Express Train Ride: 11:30 AM
Railroad Story Time: 11:30 AM
Outdoor Rides Available: 10:30 AM - 3:30 PM

Spend your Saturday back at the B&O, where you can enjoy a ride on Sweet Toot, delicious food & drink for sale from The Back Yard Restaurant & Bar, a performance from prolific Irish guitarist Brendan Pelan, a fire engine from the Fire Museum of Maryland, train rides along the nation's first mile of commercial railroad, and the opportunity to meet the chief curator to see our collection of railroading buttons! Plus, check out the Ma & Pa Buick on the turntable, see the reunited Imlay Maryland and Ohio Coaches, and more!
