Reception & Sale - Saturday, June 25
Artists are invited to join the B&O Railroad Museum in June for our first paint out, exhibition, and sale. Registered artists can visit the historic Baltimore campus and create railroad inspired paintings that will be displayed and sold for the benefit of the museum. Painting sessions are held from June 1 - June 19, during museum's operating hours. The reception and sale is Saturday, June 25. Painting remain on exhibit through June 30. Artist Registration Fee - $25
Education Connection: Under the Big Top
Tuesday - Friday in June
10:00 a.m. – 12 Noon
Children enjoy Education Connection at Choo Choo Blue Kids Zone in the B&O Roundhouse. This month's program allows children to take a ride on the "circus train" and learn the power of language through fun crafts and interactive games in this wonder-filled series. Recommended for ages 2 and up.
Thrifty Tuesday at the B&O

Visitors receive half off regular admission rates the first Tuesday of every month at the B&O Railroad Museum! All aboard for the most important American railroad collection in the world!
Wednesday, June 1 & 15
Toddler Time is normally held at 10:30 a.m. on the first and third Wednesday of each month January - October. When the museum hosts Disney Jr. Choo Choo Soul, Day Out With Thomas, and Chuggington only Toddler Time may be scheduled. This program allows children listen to a classic railroad story, create a craft, enjoy playtime at Choo Choo Blue Kids Zone, and take a kiddie train ride through Choo Choo Blueville – all included with paid admission. Recommended for ages 2-5. Please note that ride is not guaranteed with your visit and that the Museum reserves the right to cancel or change train rides in the event of inclement weather or equipment malfunction. Children programs start promptly on-time.
American Girl Weekend

Saturday train rides at 11:30 a.m. & 1:00 p.m.
Sunday train rides at 12 Noon & 1:30 p.m.
You and your American Girl doll are invited to the B&O Railroad Museum for a tea party and train ride to Mount Clare Museum House. Discover how your American Girl may have lived during colonial or revolutionary times at Mount Clare or the industrial transportation revolution that began on-site along the railroad track at the B&O Railroad Museum. Space is limited for the tea party; reservations required by contacting Steve Madewell at email@example.com.
Under the Big Top

Join us under the big top for a topsy-turvy, wildly wacky, fun-filled time. Jump through "flaming" hoops or walk the "high wire" in the center ring. Try your luck at the ring toss. Show off your creative side at the craft station. There's fun for all under the big top! Choo Choo Blue Kids Club Members receive a special treat. All Aboard Summer Reading Program, “I’ve Been Readin’ on the Railroad”
June 20 - August 22
A magical experience that takes children on a trip and teach then new things about people and places! Children who participate in “I've Been Readin' on the Railroad” Summer Reading Program at the B & O Railroad Museum and Ellicott City Station earn a free book and a chance to win an engineer's outfit. It's easy and the trip down the tracks are fun and educational. Let the magic of reading and the railroad take you and your child on a special journey. Pick up a reading journal at the B & O Railroad Museum or the Ellicott City Station, browse the children's railroad books and begin your journey! Read 10 railroad-related books, complete your journal, and return it to either Museum by August 22, 2016 for your free book and a chance to win an engineer's outfit!
