Education Connection: Under the Big Top
Tuesday - Friday in June
10:00 a.m. – 12 Noon
Children enjoy Education Connection at Choo Choo Blue Kids Zone in the B&O Roundhouse. This month's program allows children to take a ride on the "circus train" and learn the power of language through fun crafts and interactive games in this wonder-filled series. Recommended for ages 2 and up.
Thrifty Tuesday at the B&O

Visitors receive half off regular admission rates the first Tuesday of every month at the B&O Railroad Museum! All aboard for the most important American railroad collection in the world!
Thurday, June 8 & 22
Toddler Time is normally the first and third Thursday of each month January - October; some months may be altered due to other schedule children's events. This program allows children listen to a classic railroad story, create a craft, enjoy playtime at Choo Choo Blue Kids Zone, and take a kiddie train ride through Choo Choo Blueville – all included with paid admission. Recommended for ages 2-5. Please note that ride is not guaranteed with your visit and that the Museum reserves the right to cancel or change train rides in the event of inclement weather or equipment malfunction. Children programs start promptly on-time.
Under the Big Top

Join us under the big top for a topsy-turvy, wildly wacky, fun-filled time. Jump through "flaming" hoops or walk the "high wire" in the center ring. Try your luck at the ring toss. Show off your creative side at the craft station. There's fun for all under the big top! Choo Choo Blue Kids Club Members receive a special treat. All Aboard Summer Reading Program, “I’ve Been Readin’ on the Railroad”
June 26 - August 21
A magical experience that takes children on a trip and teaches them new things about people and places! Children who participate in “I've Been Readin' on the Railroad” Summer Reading Program at the B & O Railroad Museum and Ellicott City Station earn a free book and a chance to win an engineer's outfit. It's easy and the trip down the tracks are fun and educational. Let the magic of reading and the railroad take you and your child on a special journey. Pick up a reading journal at the B & O Railroad Museum or the Ellicott City Station, browse the children's railroad books and begin your journey! Read 10 railroad-related books, complete your journal, and return it to either Museum by August 22, 2016 for your free book and a chance to win an engineer's outfit!
Blue Star Museums

Blue Star Museums is a collaboration among the National Endowment for the Arts, Blue Star Families, the Department of Defense, and more than 1,500 museums across America. The B&O Railroad Museum in Baltimore, Ellicott City Station, Mount Clare Museum House are proud to partner with Blue Star Museums and offer active military personnel and up to five family members free admission to the museum from Tuesday, May 30 through Sunday, September 3, 2017. The Geneva Convention common access card (CAC) a DD Form 1173 ID card, or a DD Form 1173-1 ID card are required to receive free admittance.
