ADMISSION

Q: When does the Museum offer train rides? A: The Museum offers train rides Wednesdays-Sundays, April through December.

Q: What is the cost of a train ride? A: Train rides are included with paid admission Wednesdays-Sundays, April through December.

Q: I have a complimentary pass that I was issued prior to 2004. Will it still be honored? A: No, any passes that were given prior to the collapse by an organization or existing program will not be honored. Only current passes will be honored. For questions pertaining to this matter, please contact Dana Kirn at 410-752-2490 ext. 221.


GUEST SERVICES

Q: Where do I park?
A: The museum has free on-site, off-street parking available.

Q: Are strollers allowed in the museum? Does the Museum rent strollers?
A: Yes, strollers are allowed. If strollers are not allowed in certain areas of the campus, there will be signs posted in those areas. The Museum does not currently rent strollers to the public.

Q: Are coolers allowed in the Museum?
A: No coolers or outside food of any kind are allowed inside the Museum or its campus. The Museum has a full service café on site. Vending is available when the café is closed.

Q: Is smoking allowed inside the Museum?
A: Smoking is not permitted on any Museum grounds except the front parking area.

Q: I would like to purchase an item from the Museum Store.
A: Visit our online store or call 410-752-2490 ext.213.

Q: I purchased an item through the Museum Store and I need to return it.
A: Contact the Museum Store at 410-752-2490 ext.212.

Q: I would like to purchase a gift certificate.
A: Contact the Museum Store at 410-752-2490 ext. 212, or visit our online store.


MEMBERSHIPS

Q: How do I become a B&O museum member?
A: Memberships can be purchased by contacting the Membership Office at 410-752-2490 ext. 205 or on our membership page. The Museum also offers business memberships.


FACILITY RENTALS/BIRTHDAY PARTIES

Q: I am interested in renting your facility for a party.
A: Contact our catered events office at 410-752-2490 ext.207. Information regarding rental facilities is also available on our facility rental page.

Q: I am interested in having a birthday party at the Museum.
A: Children or adult birthday parties can be hosted in any of the Museum’s rental facilities.

Q: What is the cost of a birthday party?
A: Please see the facility rentals page for pricing information on each venue. Rental price includes rental space, party host and full access to the Museum grounds including train rides when available. (Train rides are not guaranteed and are subject to change without notice).

Q: What food can I bring?
A: No outside food can be brought into the Museum. All food and beverage must be ordered from one of the Museum’s exclusive caterers.

Q: Can I bring decorations and/or party favors?
A: Certain decorations and party favors are allowed. No tacks, staples, tape or glue may be used to attach decorations to walls or floors The use of helium balloons, confetti and rice is prohibited. The use of candles for decorative purposes shall be contained in an approved vessel and shall not allow open flame to exceed rim of such vessel. Decorations may not be mounted on walls without permission. If in doubt, please ask the Museum Representative. Party favors can be ordered from our Museum Store, at 410-752-2490, ext. 212.

Q: How do I become a volunteer?
A: Call 410-752-2490 ext. 216. You may also apply by visiting our volunteer page.


GROUPS

Q: Does the Museum offer discounted rates for groups?
A: The Museum offers discounted rates for groups of twenty (20) or more that make a two week advance reservation. Contact Group Sales at 410-752-2490 ext.205 or visit our group information page.

Q: How do I make arrangements to bring a school group to the Museum?
A: The museum offers discounted rates for school groups of twenty (20) or more. Contact Group Sales at 410-752-2490 ext.205 or visit our group information page.
