Dear Friends of the B&O Railroad Museum:

On August 20, 2003 the Baltimore Orioles and the B&O Railroad Museum sponsored the "Raise the Roof" fundraiser. Money from game tickets purchased through the B&O Railroad Museum was donated to the Roundhouse Restoration Fund. A total of $11,000 was raised to help reconstruct and restore the Museum's historic 1884 Roundhouse and world class collection. Board of Directors' President Gino J. Gemignani, Jr., Executive Director Courtney B. Wilson, and Deputy Director/Chief Curator Ed Williams accepted the check on the field in a pre-game ceremony. Maryland State Senator for the Baltimore City District #44, Verna L. Jones, threw out the first pitch and Board of Director, Francis X. Smyth won the Heavy Hitter Award for selling over 100 tickets.

The B&O Railroad Museum would like to extend a special thank you to all those who participated in this fundraising event, and especially to the Baltimore Orioles for their gracious support.
