Dear Friends of the B&O Railroad Museum:

The construction team has completed about eighty-five percent of the lower roof replacement. This week, the last of the new trusses have been put into place. Installation of the king- and queen-post trusses, rafters, and decking will most likely be completed by mid to late November marking the completion of the first phase of the Roundhouse reconstruction. The second phase of the Roundhouse reconstruction project entails removing and replacing the upper clerestory roof. This phase has already begun with the assembly of new scaffolding inside the Roundhouse. The construction team will deconstruct and replace the clerestory roof in a similar fashion to the lower roof from this "second floor" created by the scaffolding inside the Roundhouse.
