The B&O No.X-1397 was built by the Baltimore & Ohio Railroad (B&O) around 1950 and was originally used as a crane-boom tender. It was later converted into an air-compressor car. The B&O last used the No.X-1397 to haul a rubber tire crane. During its career, the No.X-1397 worked on a wreck train in Washington, Indiana. The No.X-1397 was renumbered as the No.940899 while at the end of its active service.
