Join us for a free Community Celebration in the B&O’s Backyard!
This family-friendly event comes as part of the finale of a year’s worth of programming the Museum has hosted related to our latest exhibit, The Underground Railroad: Freedom Seekers on the B&O Railroad.
Free admission begins at 4 PM and guests will have the opportunity to view The Underground Railroad: Freedom Seekers on the B&O Railroad exhibit and all else the Museum has to offer! Crafts and activities related to the exhibit will be available for kids to join and partake in. The B&O’s Street Art Exhibition car will be featured during the event and Baltimore-based painter Phil The Artist will be on-site doing a live painting.
Ekiben and The Backyard will have food and drinks available for purchase. Nika’s Cupcake Bar will be selling cupcakes from 4 – 8 PM. Kona Ice of Catonsville will be on-site from 6 – 8 PM.
Part of the Community Celebration includes a performance by recording artist Wordsmith + Live Band at 7 PM in which he’ll be delivering a musical set related to The Underground Railroad: Freedom Seekers on the B&O Railroad, covering themes of Freedom and Unity.
Event is rain or shine. Performance held under the Museum’s covered pavilion.
