Presenting Sponsor

Join us this summer at the B&O for our sensory-friendly camp created specifically for neurodiverse children entering grades 1-6.

This year’s “Science All Around Us” theme will encourage campers to learn about the connections between the railroad, science, and interactive activities promoting touch, sight, smell, taste, and fine motor engagement. Through these activities, campers will learn strategies for reducing sensory-overload and fulfilling sensory needs.

Throughout the duration of the camp, we will be using all of the accommodations available to us at the Museum including our galleries, the education station classroom, train rides, horse stables, and our outdoor backyard space.

Aftercare available 3-4 PM. Camp Admission: FREE

Many in the neurodiverse community have strict dietary restrictions or preferences. In hopes of not adding undue stress to the campers’ day, we will be asking campers to bring a bagged lunch with them each day. Families facing difficulties doing so may arrange for lunch to be provided for those campers ahead of time.

I love that the museum is what remains of the old train yard and the number and variety of train cars is remarkable.
