Guests should arrive at 11:15 am on Platform 2 for their train ride. Tickets can be purchased on-site at the Museum.

*Please note: Mile One Express Train rides will not occur on April 25-26 & May 2-3, 2026 for the Day Out With ThomasTM event. Ride the train pulled by Thomas instead!

Train rides may be canceled without prior notice. Please check our calendar of events to confirm the train ride schedule on the date of your visit. Due to limited space, train ride tickets are sold on a first come, first served basis. Roundtrip train rides are approximately 20 minutes. Please check with admissions staff about availability on the day of your visit and purchase train ride tickets on site.

Observation Car Train Ride Tickets
*Please note: Observation Car tickets will not be available April 23-May 3, 2026.
Upgrade your Mile One Express Train Ride experience by riding in our first class car! Observation Car train rides offer visitors the chance to ride in the historic 1948 Royal Blue lounge car, enjoying light refreshments and an immersive train ride experience.
