Black History Month: Tracks to Freedom Concert | B&O Railroad Museum

A Celebration of the Launch of the “Legacy of the Underground Railroad”

The B&O Railroad Museum is proud to announce the launch of the “Legacy of the Underground Railroad” website, an educational resource that brings original source material from the Museum’s The Underground Railroad: Freedom Seekers on the B&O Railroad exhibit into classrooms and homes everywhere!

At the heart of the new site is Network to Freedom, an original musical telling of the history of the B&O Railroad as an Underground Railroad Network to Freedom site, composed by lyricist Wordsmith and the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra.

On September 26, in celebration of this amazing new learning tool, the B&O invites you to attend a live performance of Network to Freedom by Wordsmith and a string trio from the BSO. Commemorate Underground Railroad Month by immersing yourself in the stories of freedom seekers who used the railroad in their path to liberation.
