B&O Shows Solidarity with Ukraine

BALTIMORE, MD – March 4, 2022 – The B&O Railroad Museum’s historic Roundhouse will be illuminated in blue and gold lights to honor the heroism of the citizens of Ukraine.

“The B&O Railroad Museum stands with the world in supporting the Ukrainian people as war is being waged on their country. While this is a small gesture, we hope that displaying the
Ukrainian national colors provides some comfort to Baltimore’s local Ukrainian community and
shows more broadly our solidarity with Ukraine,” said Kris Hoellen, Executive Director of the
Museum.

The 1884 Roundhouse, typically decorates for only local events, is breaking tradition in
response to this international crisis. The B&O hopes the local Ukrainian community as well as
those abroad are bouyed by our show of support.
