The B&O #C-2222 Wooden Bobber Caboose was severely damaged by the Roundhouse roof collapse on Feb. 17, 2003, requiring replacement of its roof and extensive repairs to its cupola. In 2004, the interior was reinstalled and it is currently on exhibit on Platform 1.

Historic Site

The B&O Railroad Museum’s 40-acre historic site, called Mt. Clare, is a National Historic Landmark and is the original site where the Baltimore and Ohio Railroad founded America’s first commercial railroad in 1827.

I love that the museum is what remains of the old train yard and the number and variety of train cars is remarkable.
