Games With Trains is bringing together the best of both worlds!
Unlock your inner board gamer and join us, in collaboration with the Games Club of Maryland, in the Roundhouse for this all-day affair, where there will be train-themed strategy games for everyone of all skill and interest levels.
There will be 50 games to play such as Ticket to Ride, 20th Century Limited, 18xx, TransAmerica, Orient Express and more. We will even have demos so you can learn how to play select games, and you’re welcome to bring your own to introduce to everyone too!
Game designer Wes Crawford will also be demoing and playtesting his soon-to-be published game Engine Thieves – The Andrews Railroad Raid of 1862. One of the raiders of said raid was William Pittenger; he detailed his experience in his 1882 book, The Great Locomotive Chase – upon which Disney based their 1956 film of the same name and featured the B&O No. 25 “William Mason” and the B&O No. 13 “Lafayette.”
Between games, catch the Mile One Express Train Ride* at 11:30 AM or 1 PM.
Our café will also be open all day to fuel you as you play and compete.
