Streamlining Workshop

All week from 10 AM to 4 PM get to know the B&O with themed scavenger hunts! These exploratory experiences are self-guided and are great for guests of all ages.

This tour will use our historic collection to explore the technological advancements in locomotive design that happened in B&O facilities like the Mount Clare Shops.

Join us for a Storytime about the B&O’s first female engineer, Olive Dennis!

In this hands-on program, children will learn about streaming locomotives on the B&O Railroad and get to test their knowledge by creating their own paper airplanes!

This fun and upbeat tour teaches children about the types of freight cars used on the railroad! Using America’s favorite fruit, the banana, students will explore how the banana gets from farms to their tables.

In this program, students will learn the history of freight transport on the railroad and how it bolstered cultural diffusion around the world!
